I had a first round interview followed by a final round "Super Day" interview. The first round interview was a joke. My interviewer had terrible quality audio and his headset mic would peak every time he spoke, making everything he said get sucked into a void. After 15 mins (in a 30 minute interview) of guessing what he was asking and asking for clarification, he left and rejoined on his cellphone which finally fixed the issue. My experience at this point was okay, but then the next candidate for the interview kept joining and subsequently getting kicked which was unnerving. Why didn't they have a zoom waiting room set up? The Super Day interview was a mess. They should have had an additional person facilitating the interview. About 17-18 candidates were present. The interview was a very long process, involving completion of a 30 minute case study and 3 one on one interviews with behavioral, technical, and a case study presentation. The behavioral and technical parts were fine but ohhhh man the case study was ridiculous. First of all, my interviewer did not turn on their camera which I found was rude. I cannot talk about any specific case study details, but it involved designing a system to solve a problem. I did my best to think of high level architecture and whatnot to present. Well, instead of a "presentation", the interviewer immediately began grilling me and firing off questions about EXACTLY which technologies I would be using and wanting full implementation details... If they expected me to come up with a full system on my own in 30 minutes, they are absolutely insane. The wording of the case study did not indicate that they wanted a full breakdown of implementation, it only suggested to think of design specifications, challenges in development, etc. Additionally the interviewer asked why I didn't have slides to present. While they did mention we could make slides at the very beginning, how would anybody have had time to create slides? There is a mere 30 minutes of case study time - that means reading it AND writing your thoughts out - before moving on to the interviews. All in all, it was a disorganized mess. Would not recommend to anybody who wants a company that actually respects their time. They didn't even confirm time slots until 7am the morning of the final round interview.
