I applied online. I interviewed at Citi in Jan 2023
Interview
The recruiter was 6 minutes late to our call.
She asked me to share an overview of myself, why am I looking, what tools I use to source, am I open to hybrid, average req load, familiarity with workday, how often I recruit for tech roles and my target comp - most of these answers could be found directly on my resume.
She tried to leave the call without asking if I had any questions, she didn’t know any of the answers to my questions (example: what roles would I be recruiting for, the mgmt style)
The call lasted 9 minutes - she never reached back out.
As a TA professional with almost 8 years of recruiting experience from large tech companies, you’d think this recruiter would be mindful of the experience she’s creating. Definitely wasn’t a pleasant experience.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Citi (New York, NY) in Feb 2025
Interview
HR screening that was a very simple 15-minute conversation that ensured you met the basic qualifications in the job description and gave a more in-depth overview of the job posting responsibilities. The first official round was with the hiring manager and there were two more rounds after that which I did not complete.
