I applied online to a couple of roles and was selected for an interview for one of the roles. A few days after applying, a recruiter reached out for an HR screen. After that, I had an interview with the hiring manager. The interview went about 20 minutes over and I was moved on to the third round. This is where things started to go south. The third round included 2 product people and 2 analytics people and was split over 2 days, which isn't an ideal candidate experience. The first day, it seemed like the interviewers were both new to interviewing and were not aligned with the hiring manager on what the role was meant to do. Additionally, a third interview that day was moved last minute to later in the week. The interviews that did occur that day were both a negative experience. The product person even said "that would be a good example if I was hiring an x", which felt patronizing. On the second day, the interviewer seemed like she had more experience interviewing candidates and clarified what the role should be (more in line with the hiring manager's description). It was a positive experience, but this shows me there is no internal clarity when interviewing candidates and perhaps the wrong people are participating in hiring decisions. The third day, the final interview was cancelled last minute due to another candidate being selected for the role and I was asked if I was interested in an "expedited loop" for a different role. I asked if they could share the job description (which they did) and what the expedited loop looks like. And that was when I was ghosted by the recruiter. Overall, this company seems very disorganized wrt hiring and also creates a very negative candidate experience that is disrespectful to the candidate's time.
