The process consisted of:
1. Recruiter Interview
2. Take Home Assessment
3. Employee Interview
4. Hiring Manager Interview (Final Round)
Unfortunately I was not offered the position. Overall it was a good/neutral process that lasted about a month. While no feedback was provided, it may have been a culture fit issue.
Note: For positions at this company it requires using your personal computer. They do not provide company issued devices. That might of been a factor in the team's decision too.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is your ideal management style when working with a company?
How would you handle negative feedback from a customer or employee?
How would you stay engaged working in an remote work environment?
How would you handle an angry customer requesting a full refund in regards to our refund policy?
I applied online. I interviewed at Cloaked (New York, NY) in Apr 2026
Interview
Had an initial call with the recruiter, which well enough - pretty friendly person, and it was conversational (no stress). Ended by telling me he was going to take his notes back to the hiring manager, and get back to me with next steps. Decided to follow up a few days later to see if they had an update, and it turns out they wanted to move forward, which was a case study. Provided my availability to present and got started - never heard back. Followed up two more times... nothing. Not really surprised based on the reviews from working there. I'd avoid what is probably a toxic situation.

Interview
It was okay. The recruiter was nice enough. He said it didn't seem like I would be a good fit for the particular role I applied to because of lack of experience in payment systems, but would be a good fit for another role on another team. He said he'd let me know in a week's time. Still haven't heard from him and that was over a month ago. I even sent a follow up email two weeks after my interview and he never responded. He said he was the only recruiter for the company, in the interview and it may take some time, which I understood. But at least respond to the email. I think it's incredibly rude to ghost people who take the time to have an interest in the company. I have a Masters degree and tons of support experience. I'd rather take my talents elsewhere.
