I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Co-op (Addlestone, England) in July 2019
Interview
I applied for the job online and got an email about a week later, with a link to a website where you book your interview slot. The interview took just under an hour and was with the store manager who is lovely and friendly. It involved answering questions both about my past experience and some scenario question, then I had to walk around the shop floor for five minutes and write down things I noticed that didn’t look good (such as untidy shelves, cages left unnatended), and then feed back to the manager. I then got given a product (raspberries) and was given some time to look at the product, and was then given thirty seconds to sell it to the manager. I was offered the job at the end of the interview.
One stage interview with the store manager. Interview was a casual conversation with some formal performance indicator questions looking at how previous experiences would play into the role, and then opportunity to ask own questions.
Star style questions which are used to ask you about a situation , a task , an action , and a result as well as some general questions about your experience
