I was interviewed by the CEO and the Head of Operations in their Damansara office, which was understandable given the nature of the role. However, during the session, the CEO made remarks devaluing my previous role, stating it did not contribute to my application's merit, resulting in an offer below the initially indicated salary range on LinkedIn. Labeling me as desperate, I believe she exploited my situation, being aware of the urgency resulting from my job search post-retrenchment due to the business closure of my previous company and proceeded to offer me only only 60% of the initially specified salary. During the interview, she covered up sections of my resume, dismissing my experience as "not valid" and displaying a level of arrogance. Upon further research, I discovered reviews mentioning the CEO's reputation for rudeness and derogatory language towards employees, including referring to them as "monkeys." Such behavior, especially in a higher management role, raises concerns about leadership and organizational culture.
