I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Contract Callers (Lafayette, IN) in Aug 2014
Interview
I filled out another application before talking to the interviewer. It was a very easy interviewer. He asked if I was afraid of dogs and if I could walk several miles a day. He asked if I was comfortable with storms. I asked how often do people get bit on the job he said almost never. That he didn't know anyone that had been bitten and had worked there for several years. (I was bit twice on my first 3 weeks of this job so I don't think he was being honest.) He also said that we were not forced to walk in lightning, bad rain, or extreme cold. (All lies.)

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Contract Callers (Bloomington, IN) in Dec 2014
Interview
There was no hiring, interview, or significant training to speak of. Management mainly seemed to hire others recommended by current employees rather than looking at a pool of resumes garnered from any reputable sites. I believe they advertised on Craigslist but never knew anyone to be hired from that source. All hires were friends of other employees, most with no meter reading background.
