I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Creator Deck in June 2021
Interview
The interview process was long due to the amount of rounds, but each round presented a new opportunity to learn more about the team and culture of the company. I felt like the process was geared to ensure that those apply were a true fit for the company and more than just another person on a team.

Question 1
What was a project or experience where the outcome did not go as expected? How did you handle it/problem solve?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Creator Deck (New York, NY) in Oct 2022
Interview
First round is a call with the recruiter, then a call with the manager, and then a skill assessment and finally panel. I had definitely enjoyed this interview process. It was clear, transparent, and the recruiter was quick to get back to me after each stage. After dealing with a plethora of companies and recruiters who have zero respect for candidates, this company was a breath of fresh air. I will say, however, my one major negative is that the skill assessment can take quite a while. I spent probably ~15 hours on mine and got rejected the next week. That being said, Creator Deck definitely seems like a stand-up company.

Question 1
Name 3 people who have been successful and why. What's your understanding of the role?
I applied online. I interviewed at Creator Deck in Jan 2022
Interview
I had an interview with Creator Deck and the interview was slated for 30 minutes it only took 12 minutes. The Interviewer very unorganized throughout the call and it was disruptive as her attention was elsewhere. I had mentioned that the position was open for 2 months as I was already concerned about an employer dragging my time. She was taken back by my question and seem like I couldn’t ask any questions to her at all matter of fact looking back at it it seems that SHE wanted to hold her authority over me when in reality this interview should be a two way street.
This happened again she came across, apprehensive when I asked her about the leadership style of the company and snapped stating “I’m sorry can you rephrase that question-I don’t understand what you mean.” I had to rephrase that question so that she could better understand it; when it is a very simple and straight forward question. However, what really stroke me is that she never asked me about my resume or anything that was stated in the Indeed message-but she did ask me what I did do during my current days. This question made me feel like I did nothing all day and that I wasn’t progressing so much that I couldn’t even answer the question appropriately. I was taken back-why does a future employer have to know what I do with my days; how is that relevant to the company? She didn’t even describe what it was like working at Creator Deck.
The experience was very upsetting as I really wanted this position going in and to have Creator Deck treat me with a lack of respect and dignity as a human and to be asked why I am applying when I founder experience.
It was very apparent that the interviewer needs more human connection/human relations training because what was displayed with my experience (as a woman of color) with Creator Deck was a lack of professionalism, dignity, and candor of what is supposed to be an “an all-woman based start-up of color”.
