I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Currys (Glasgow, Scotland) in July 2015
Interview
Was simple, applied online and within a week or so received a telephone screening. Was told there would be a 1:1, but after waiting around 3 weeks i gave up hope, only to be phoned and offered one. Was invited and turned up to do a quick interview that lasted around 2 hours, in which the manager took me to his office and told me the "5 minutes to impress" was more of an ice breaker than an actual task. Then proceeded to be given a notebook and pen and let out onto the shop floor to talk to staff, all of which were very friendly and helpful. Was then taken back to his office after half an hour and given competency based questions, and let out onto the shop floor once again to interact with staff and customers. Eventually was made to "sell" the manager a non-existent laptop, and finally given a rundown of pay etc. Awaiting on a call back.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
When was one time you successfully worked in a team?
Briefly talk about skills in upselling and sales pitches with customers. They are more interested in upselling insurances and add-on products/services. Technical knowledge on products is not necessary, they will ask you about your ability to hit targets and KPIs every month.

Question 1
You will be walked onto the shop floor, and you will be asked to try to sell a product to the interviewer on the shop floor.
first interview quite easy-going, then if successful, called back for a second interview with the manager. Asked pretty much the same questions plus some that seemed irrelevant that you can't really elaborate on
I applied online. I interviewed at Currys (Reading, England) in Oct 2024
Interview
got a call to set up an interview date, when I went in the managers were really nice and asked me scenario based questions. after 15 minutes they told me to choose a product and create a scenario for a family friend that might need it and why I chose that specific product for their issue. they took a copy of my passport and national insurance number.
