      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Cursor (CA) (Singapore) in Mar 2026

      Interview

The whole process was seamless. From recruiter reaching out > Cursor's recruiting team > technical and non-technical interviews. The process took about two weeks and the recruiting team has been very responsive.

      Anonymous interview candidate

      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cursor (CA) (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

Very fast! I sent my application on Monday, and on Wednesday, they were replying that I was selected for an Interview process. The same happened when they informed me if I passed to the next stage, as it was within 48hrs as the Support Manager informed me. Tried to find more info online, but there isn't too much about the process, so I'm providing as much context as I can: -> Regarding the interview, it's high competitive. Make sure to describe yourself in an ambitious and compelling way. -> Describe what and how many past and active projects you have worked with, technologies and impact of those projects (Metrics). -> Make sure your GitHub is the greenest possible and that you have worked a lot with Cursor, Visual Studio Code and IntelliJ recently. -> If you have other hobbies, make sure that you have used recently to solve a problem that you were facing in your current or previous jobs, something like "Playing guitar made me relax and realize that this situation could have been faced in such and such way", etc. They mentioned that after this interview, I would have another one with the Head of Operations, and then a 3hrs remote live coding and debugging session in order to build a project, then test it, and then they will build a project and you had to debug it. All these responses have to be fast and in accurate way, otherwise you feel and the interviewer let you know if it's interesting or not what you're describing. Finally, study culture and values, it's very important for them. Don't miss this step, as they're going to ask that you ask question regarding their culture and philosophy, so make sure you have taken a look into them.
