Interview
Overall they were very communicative and the process was fast. The final interview consisted of almost all questions about my resume and then a case study. I was disappointed by the lack of diversity in employee interviewers. I was only in contact with primarily white men throughout the process.
I applied through university. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at D. E. Shaw & Co. - Investment Firm (New York, NY) in Dec 2019
Interview
Phone interview with an analyst. Flied to NYC for final round. Met three people in different teams, asked about my background. Have a business case study, with a brain teaser that is very random and outside of my expertise and role. Overall people are nice and the process was very organized, while there was many things they have nothing to do with the role. So NO NEED to study how hedge fund works cuz it is not a typical hedge fund hiring at all
