      Recruiter Interview

      20 Feb 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Portland, OR
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at DaBella (Portland, OR) in Feb 2021

      Interview

I had a terrible experience with them. They rushed me into doing 2 interviews in one week even though they knew I worked another job. Then they offered me a job and RESCINDED the offer the next day because I said I had to give two weeks notice to my current employer. They did not tell me there was an ultimatum on the start date for the position. They did not say they would only hire me if I could start on that day. They also ignored me for 24 hours as I was trying to get back to them to accept the job and then they just sent an automated email to me rejecting me.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked me the generic questions about my relevant experience and how I would handle certain situations. It was clear by how little they got to know me as a candidate that they were not interested in hiring me specifically but rather just getting a body in the role as quickly as possible

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DaBella

      Interview

The interview process was a bit redundant. The manager of Recruiting is an insecure fool. She clearly is intimidated by candidates who have experience and know what they're talking about. It's really sad, but a tad bit ironic to see her operate in her blatant ignorance. This company likes to hire newbies to the recruiting field so they can pay them an insulting wage and take advantage of them. They want candidates who are going to kiss their rear ends and be ever so thankful that they got picked to work for a mediocre company who's just going to work them to death and poop on them in the end. A word of advice, don't interview candidates with experience and expect them to be ok with bottom of the barrel wages. If you put a salary range on a job post, you need to make sure that the range is clear and true to what's posted. Posting a salary range then saying it's an example of what someone can earn in their first year of working with your company is not a salary range and it just makes your company look foolish and like a scam.
