      Business Development Manager Interview

      27 Dec 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Belgrade, Central Serbia
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Data-Driven Lab (Belgrade, Central Serbia) in Nov 2023

      Interview

The interview involved three stages: talking with the recruiter, meeting the hiring manager, and completing a test assignment. The first two stages were smooth. The recruiter clearly explained the role, and the conversation with the hiring manager was more relaxed than formal. Things slowed down during the test assignment. The task was relevant, but it took them about two weeks to give feedback, which was surprisingly good. After the test, the recruiter seemed eager to offer me the job, but there was uncertainty in the company's strategy. This led to a waiting period of 2-3 weeks. They reached out again to check my interest, and I agreed to move forward They promised to schedule a meeting to present the offer, but then there was silence for 2 more weeks until I contacted them. Eventually, they informed me of a change in their hiring strategy, and my candidacy was no longer considered. My ongoing engagement was partly because the role wasn't a high priority for me, given the average salary offer.
