There were three interviews total. The first was a call with a recruiter where they share a little bit about the company and gauge your interest.
The second is a call with Adam where he asks for more details about your professional experience, as well as telling you more about the role and company. For me, this interview was delayed two days because of some kind of client emergency, and when they did call they were 30 minutes late.
The third is an in-person interview at the office. This interview is about an hour long and the first 20 or 30 minutes are spent with Adam and a couple other people going over your background in greater detail. You spend the rest of the time "shadowing" an operations manager, a carrier sales rep, and a customer care rep. They give you a more detailed look at the work you would be doing.
After this process they asked for references, which I sent them, only to be told by the recruiter (not anyone at the company) that they had decided to go in another direction. I contacted my references to see if anyone from DeGroot had reached out to them, and they said no one had. I even emailed someone there to ask for feedback from my interview and never got a response.
Overall, it was a disappointing and extremely unprofessional process. Take your skills elsewhere and don't waste your time.
