Applied online, had a call back within 2 weeks to invite me in for a face to face interview at their office in London. One of the resourcing team called me to arrange this which was for two weeks’ time and sent me a confirmation e-mail detailing the interview's duration, who this would be with and briefly outlined what this would include.
The interview lasted around 60 minutes as advised and included questions around why I wanted the position and my working background as well as some competency-based questions. The interview itself went well, I was told I would hear back the following week.
I hadn't heard back the following week and as it was approaching 5pm on Friday I e-mailed the resourcing contact to ask for an update and got a reply to apologise for the delay in getting 'feedback' to me and would receive a call on Monday morning. This call never came and after chasing this up numerous times now I still have not heard anything. I decided to stop chasing this as I feel the 'feedback' previously mentioned would not be beneficial being that there was no urgency in having the courtesy in calling me to discuss me firstly not being successful for the role and then following with the reasons behind this.
The lack of communication is disappointing, and the responses received when chasing for an update unprofessional. Overall the experience of the company’s recruitment process has been negative and I would not apply to work for them in future nor recommend them. Especially if you are taking time out to travel as this has been a complete waste of time and money.
