Red flags all around. Nothing says we don't value your time or candidacy like utilizing a one-way interview recording system. It was an impersonal and problematic interview process, particularly for an organization that's all about inclusivity. I've worked for organizations far smaller and less resourced than Define American (less than half the staff size and budget), and we still managed to give candidates a phone interview at the very least. It's clear Define American does not value people enough to do so. They reinforced that when they never bothered to follow up with me after the recorded interview. Surely if you're using an automated system to interview people, you can find an automated system to let people know you're no longer considering them for the position. Though Define American wasted my time, they ultimately did me a favor by ensuring I wasn't going to work for a toxic company.
