      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Deliveroo

      Interview

I had to make a test ride with an instructor, it was easy, just remember to indicate your turns. They will give you an address to go to and a time in which you have to get there and they will then follow you on your way. I had to do three of these little trips and that was pretty much it

      Interview

Applied online to be a bicycle courier at deliveroo, Leamington Spa, and had a very quick and easy phone interview a few days later. Was emailed a list of equipment to bring to a trial shift. Had the trial shift a week later, and waited in the town centre with another applicant for an instructor from deliveroo to turn up, which he did not because he was on holiday and failed to reply to our calls and texts. Deliveroo was unable to sort anything out when we called them for help. I requested another interview which I waited for another week and cancelled a family celebration for. Waited for half an hour at the town centre, the instructor turned up, didn't greet me and asked straight away why I don't have a helmet. Even though there is no legal requirement to have a helmet, and it was not in the list of equipment that deliveroo sent me, he refused to do my trial shift. I went home and arranged yet another trial shift for 2 weeks later, and bought a helmet. The reason I did not buy a helmet beforehand is that I had read in many places, from articles and comments that deliveroo supplies these with other equipment for those that have none, and it was not in the equipment list. I made a suggestion to deliveroo about this to include a full list of equipment. After buying my helmet, I came home to an email saying they would not take my application any further even though I had a trial shift booked. They still failed to supply a full list of equipment so I think helmets aren't required but the instructor just fancied an hour to himself. I am furious, they didn't even reply to my polite questioning of what comes of my booked trial. I should have started work there 3 weeks ago now, but only ended up forking out money for them to cancel my application because of some selfish instructors and lazy communication.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Deliveroo (Portsmouth, South East England, England) in May 2018

      Interview

After applying online, I was told there were no spaces in my area. A couple of days later, I got an email saying they were now recruiting new people and to follow the links to book my onboarding interview. It was easy to book and gave information about what documents I needed to bring. I turned up with my bike, expecting it to be checked before they hired me but the interview was just taking my previous addresses, passport and siging a supplier agreement. I was also given a DBS.

Online application process split in to 5 or so stages. There is a shadowing stage where you follow another courier on a delivery run. Simple stuff more or less guaranteed the job once you apply.
