I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Deliveroo in Apr 2021
Interview
There were three stages, a fairly simple aptitude test, a stage one interview with the person currently in the position and a final stage interview with management.
There was almost a whole month between my completion of the test and them finally contacting me to organise an interview.
Both interviews went well and weren't hugely difficult, but I think they want too much for very little reward.
To offer 27-31K p.a. for a 9 month contract job in London with SQL/ analyst skills and a second language as requirements is a bit of a slap in the face. So I didn't budge very much on my salary expectations. And let me say they are not unreasonable.
My interview was on a Tuesday and I was supposed to hear back by the end of the week, but heard nothing. So I chased the following Monday, but got no reply. I finally received an automated email on Tuesday telling me I didn't get the position. No feedback, no personalisation. I think that is incredibly rude considering that I had invested a decent amount of time in preparing for these interviews.
Not cool Deliveroo! Not cool! I will think twice now before I used them again even as a customer. Because if this is how you treat potential new employees then I don't even want to know how you treat people that are currently working for you.

Question 1
The usual questions; Tell me about a time when.....?
Hi - thank you for taking the time to share your experience and I'm very sorry to hear it was a disappointing one. Would you be able to drop me an email so I can dig into this, get you feedback, and hopefully make it up to you in some small way? jamie.edwards+glassdoor@deliveroo.co.uk
