Initially I had some really good conversations with the internal recruiter who was a lovely guy & very clear on the Deliveroo ambition within their sales function.
Some red flags around a relatively low salary (vs the talent they are openly trying to recruit/companies they want to compete with) and a conversation around redundancies the previous year. That said, I liked the ambition and wanted to proceed to see what the business was about.
Unfortunately it took a full month before a stage 1 business interview was booked in and by the time I was rushed to conclude a job offer elsewhere. I'm happy with the offer and new company but I would have liked to have seen the Deliveroo process through to understand their goals & how to win the final mile but 1 month between stages is simply too long for someone actively looking.
My advice to Deliveroo would be to move quicker or be up front with realistic timelines from the beginning. That said, I wish the company well!
