They had mentioned that they recruit in phases, which is understandable. They described the process as a take-home task followed by an interview. During the process, they gave a take-home ML task to solve within 3 weeks. After sending the response, I never heard back from them.

Interview
Without an initial interview to get to know the company, they started the process with a take-home task right away. They specified that I should only hand in the results of the task, but after a week they requested the code, too. In the interview I explained my solution, discussed my past experience, and did a small coding exercise. After three weeks they told me that I wouldn't get an offer. Overall, the process was a little chaotic and starting with a task seems the wrong way around.
