I applied online for the position and got a call from the manager to come in for an interview. I went in for the interview and got offered the position. I never heard back from the manager.
Short and simple, wanted to know my skills and interests. Asked me about my availability. Didn't take too long, probably the easiest interview I've had. Easy even for those without work experience.

Assistant Manager or Manager comes around and talks to you about what it's like to work at the location. They will ask you several questions, and then the interview ends.

This job is mainly restocking with a little bit of cashier work, are you comfortable with that?
The interview process at Dollar General was very simple. The hiring manager asked basic questions such as background in retail, challenges experienced in previous positions and overall weaknesses. The process was not difficult at all.
