The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Domino's (Pensacola, FL) in July 2010
Interview
I applied online and heard from the company about an interview within hours. It was the most odd interview I have ever been to. She praised me during the entire interview and even recommended other jobs that go along more with my educational background and asked why I didn't go back to my previous jobs because I have a good work history. She kept trying to push me into the delivery positions or the customer service representative ones. She told me that it would take about three weeks to get hired on because of background checks and what not. I did not hear back from them so I decided to check the status of my application online and the date of the interview someone changed it to withdrawn. I am not sure why she withdrew my application (other than she explained in detail that although they advertise assistant manager positions and that she agreed that I more than meet the requirements for the position, they never hire directly into those positions because dominos is so different from any other workplace). She mentioned even owners of the stores have to start in a customer service type position and make their way up. She had mentioned several times during the interview that I would be promoted to being assistant manager and running my own shift probably within six months but everyone starts at the bottom (again why advertise the position if you won't hire for it?). So that was my experience with Dominos. Spend an hour hearing how obviously intelligent I am, how I am very qualified, and how they will be getting in touch with me to never hear anything again. I am only a few classes short of my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and would not have stuck with Dominos for even a year so this may have factored into their decision.
Talked with the manager for 30 minutes about the job and the hours and duties of the job and how busy the days get. How coworkers deal with covering shifts and PtO
not organized , not actual communication process and no idea what the position was. Be aware this is not a great start for any company , the team needs to have people that handle this, not the person making pizza.
Pretty easy, make sure to write down notes and your own questions for manager prior. Also make sure to know dominos values. Dress business casual. They do not hire people with felonies.
