The interview was behaviour based, with the code of ethics mentioned, some questions reference back to application and the questions answered in the initial application. I felt relaxed during the interview and overall it went well

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Dorset Police (Bournemouth, England) in Sept 2023
Interview
I applied for this role which was advertised as being hybrid remote. As I’m not local I wanted to ask the hiring manager if they would consider a fully remote candidate, as the time in office could be 1 day a month for all I knew - so I could make that work. I was selected for interview but the interview was face to face in Dorset so I didn’t get the opportunity to ask about the remote possibility before travelling there, so I withdrew from the process and received an incredibly rude and condescending email in return. Dodged a bullet it seems, no respect for employees or candidates, manager seems to have a bit of an attitude.
I applied online. I interviewed at Dorset Police (Winfrith Newburgh, England) in June 2014
Interview
The assessment day lasted for 5 hours and included a memory tests in which they played radio broadcasts and then you had to write down what you remembered, a listening test in which you listened to police radio broadcasts and wrote down key details, a 999 role play in which you took a mock 999 call and were required to ask the necessary questions, a typing test, a short interview and a group exercise which was a decision making test but obviously what they are actually testing you on is how well you work in a team.
