The actual interviews were fine and professional. Nothing out of the ordinary or necessarily difficult. The frustrating part was the absolute “stopping” and ghosting of the role after having me interview with 4/5 people, including 2 hours out of a single day. It was “pedal to the metal” for interviewing and then “re-evaluating” the role for WEEKS and WEEKS after the interviewing was done. Whatever corporate speak you want to use to try to spin this, “re-evaluating the role” after having numerous candidates prepare and take hours out of their day, including an unnecessary “project” is incredibly unprofessional. You would assume the company knows if they need the role they posted well before they go through the entire process and waste candidates time. Honestly - you should strive to be better. If you want to have these high standards for your company then you should probably actually follow through instead of just “talking” about how you act. Show you have high standards yourself before asking others to have them to join you. I still like DK but was incredibly put off by the experience.
