I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ETHGlobal
Interview
Pretty much the same experience as everyone else mentioned: recruited reached out via LI, offered a Meh-level salary (for Bay Area). Then they shared a GH repo with requirements to write a hackathon app in a stack that I’m not familiar with in like 4 hours. They completely ignored the fact the my resume doesn’t have those skills. It feels like they are either trying to get you to write them an app for free or they believe that Hackathon style coding is the only appropriate method
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic OOP knowledge. Not much was asked in the first interview
I applied online. I interviewed at ETHGlobal (New York, NY)
Interview
Interview process was divided into a total of 5 interviews. First one was intro, pretty chill and expected questions with your background, what you want to do with your next role etc. Second was take home assignment, after that live coding/pair programming with one of their engineers. After that a behavioural interview and then offer discussion.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ETHGlobal in Dec 2022
Interview
A recruiter reached out to me. Had an initial phone call, then received a take home project.
The project asks you to build a simple fullstack app, with authentiation and form submission / update. But they require very specific tech stacks (Typescript, Prisma GraphQL, Node, Express for backend and Typescript, React, NextJS, Tailwind css for the frontend).
They said they expect you to complete in 4-6 hours but I highly doubt it, especially they only gave you some description with the example forms. You have to start from scratch, set up the database, the backend, the frontend, implement styling, most importantly, using their tech stacks.
The first time after having the call, they said they will contact me by the end of week but in the end of the day I had to follow up myself.
After I submitted my project, they said they will contact me by the end of the week but I had to follow up myself again.
Do no apply unless you're already very comfortable with their tech stacks

Question 1
Some basic resume questions during the initial call with the recruiter. A take home project requiring their tech stacks that asks you to implement a basic user registration and form submission / update system.
