I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Edward Jones (Spokane, WA) in May 2018
Interview
Terrible. Spent 3 hours going through old employment records of dates, bosses, and earned wages from the last 10 years. Why do they need that info in the first place?? I just graduated college ten years ago I was 12? A couple phone interviews to start that are really easy just getting to know you. Once you give them the last 10 years of your life they have you interview with an advisor at a local office wherever you are. I recommend knowing that they are an LP (Limited Partnership) as the advisor I interviewed with thought this was the only relevant piece of information I should know about the company. Why that is the most important thing about Edward Jones is beyond me. Basically don't go into the interview thinking the advisor is as excited as the people on the phone interviews are. He or she is interviewing you to see if you have what it takes to be an advisor which from the story of the guy I met with I will pretty much never amount to be an advisor. All in all the advisor who I met with probably hates his life and wants to make anyone around him suffer his same unfortunate past whatever that might be.

Interview
The process takes about 1 to 2 months. It starts off with a call from the recruiter and then advances to in person interviews. It’s a very detailed process with instructions along the way.
10 step progressive process teaching you about the role and orienting you every step of the way ending with a realistic immersive simulation. Extraordinary emphasis on culture and community that is very appealing.
