I interviewed at Eirkoo (Dublin, Dublin)

      Interview

The environment was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The interview process had two stages: the first was a phone interview, followed by an in-person meeting for the second round. The office is located in Dublin city centre

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Eirkoo (Dublin, Dublin) in Mar 2025

      Interview

I recently interviewed for a role at Eirkoo and had a mixed experience overall. The first stage of the process was very positive. I had two back-to-back interviews with two different Associate Directors, which were well-structured and conversational. They asked thoughtful questions about my background, skills, and goals, and I left those conversations feeling optimistic and respected. The final interview, however, was a different story. I was scheduled to speak with the Managing Director, who is based in Australia. The interview was initially booked for 10pm my time but was rescheduled last minute to 8am the following morning. While I had no issue accommodating the change, the interview itself felt off. The Managing Director appeared distracted and jittery, frequently looking around and pulling strange facial expressions. It gave the impression that he wasn’t engaged or taking the interview seriously. He also rushed through the conversation and ended the call without giving me a chance to ask questions. I waited a full week for feedback and was ultimately rejected. The reasons given were confusing and, honestly, hard to take seriously. I was told I didn’t know enough about the company, despite clearly discussing my understanding of both the business and the role. I was also told I looked unpresentable due to a wrinkled shirt, which was not the case and felt like a cheap excuse rather than real feedback. While I appreciated the professionalism of the Associate Directors, I was disappointed with how things were handled at the final stage. If Eirkoo wants to attract serious candidates, the leadership team should hold themselves to the same standards they expect from applicants.
