Interview
Behavioural interview, They sent a google meet and was on time. I had my camera on since it was a virtual interview. No dress code was made clear. I liked the small talk made before we got started since it helped easy the stress

Interview
Got a standard phone screening call after sending in my CV, questions about past projects, why I want to intern etc. Then a technical interview. It was my first interview for a software engineering position so I didn’t realize you have to study a bit! But even if I had I found the questions very different to the interviews I’ve done since. Because I was rusty on my theory, the one interviewer spent most of the time on his phone, which made me really uncomfortable and insecure. This was for a winter position, and I wouldn’t have applied again for the summer position (despite my rejection email saying they encourage me to apply again for the summer position) because I hadn’t enjoyed my experience. But when a recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn asking me to apply, I figured I would try again. I went through another phone screening round and my technical interview was in 2 days time (which I had now prepared for) when I got an email saying they had cancelled my interview because I had previously been rejected. This was quiet upsetting, and contradictory, since they had reached out to me and not the other way around. On a good note the office is amazing (fat sacks and ping pong table vibes), and one of the interviewers was really nice to me. The recruiter in the phone screening round was also very friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Only one whiteboard coding question (reverse an array). The rest of the interview was about OOP and Java specifically (keywords like final, static etc).
