I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Eli Lilly and Company (Indianapolis, IN) in July 2011
Interview
Lilly uses targeted selection questions... "Tell me about a time when..." and the "when" is something like: "when you made a mistake" or "you couldn't deliver on time" or "you succeeded - - what was it?" The text-book answer will be very brief (5 min) explain the situation, the action taken, and the results. The type of question asked is drawn from a script which probes basic personality traits - - honesty, teamwork, responsibility.
