I was initially in contact with several different recruiters. I then had a phone screening, and lastly a day of in-person interviews with three different sets of coworkers and supervisors in the Hudson offices.

I was contacted by a Etsy recruiting manager on Oct 20th about a entry level Trust and Safety role after they came across my post looking for work on LinkedIn. They knew my story from my update post about moving back in with my mother and my current hardships. They was interested in knowing why I’ve been unemployed so long as it’s been 8 months since I last worked. I told them I haven’t had any luck with landing an interview. Esty was interested so I had my first interview on Oct 27 with the T&S Manager, I thought this was the first and only interview. I find out on Nov 3rd I will be doing a 2-day 2-hour Google Hangout interview with 6 different managers (2:00 PM - 2:30 PM) (2:30 PM - 3:00) (4:00 PM - 4:30 PM) on Nov 11th and 12th. All 6 managers asked the same exact question, literally the same script. I was told by the recruiting manager that I will hear back from her on Monday Nov (15th). I was contacted by the recruiting manager that Monday telling me that they want to interview a few more people (Keep their options open.) and they’ll get back to me by middle of the week. Today 11/17 the recruiting manager let me know they will not be moving forward with me as a candidate. It threw me for a loop as the recruiting manager told me how the other 6 managers had nothing but great things to say about me and told me she saw no reason for me to not be hired she said before my 2nd interview. It felt like they were dangling this job in front of me and stringing me along for a ride for the past 28 days. Why am I having a 6-person panel interview for a entery level content review role that takes up 2 days. It was crazy!
