High Availability is technology concepts that enable infrastructures to continue operate in the planned/unplanned situation. Planned situation means customers shutdown the infrastructure for special purpose, e.g: for maintenance, upgrade or relocation. Unplanned situation means disaster, it could be minor or major disaster. Minor disaster such as: human failure, file corrupt. Major disaster such as: earthquake, fire.
