It seems that they are interviewing just to meet a quota for interviews. I had a “interview” with a recruiter after receiving an email saying “after reviewing my resume they would like to meet.”
I believe I interviewed well enough to get passed the recruiter and at least to an interview with the hiring manager. I have a very similar background as majority
of their current district managers. We even talked about next steps(which I understand they probably do with everyone). They took their time to explain everyone I would meet with and wished me luck in the next steps.
The next day I get a rejection from their automated email service stating they reviewed many applications and were moving forward with others. Which is fine but in my experience if someone wasn’t a fit I would always say “we would let them know something soon” rather talk about next steps and wish them luck. Again in my biased opinion I know I did well enough to at least get a 2nd interview.
Fast forward a few weeks and the job is reposted(for at least the 3rd time). Clearly they were NOT moving forward with others. Kind of seemed like they aren’t really looking, I know that doesn’t make sense but I know I checked every box for their requirements.
