I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at FIRST Exploration and Petroleum Development Company Ltd (Lagos) in Aug 2025
Interview
I applied to an "leading upstream company" call through Workforce Consulting. After I was shortlisted, I went for the first stage which was the assessment of 50 questions in about 40 minutes. Next was the assessment center which was physical at the workforce office in Gbagada, Lagos. I passed that, and I was called for the final interview at the First E&P office in Ikoyi. This process started in July and ended in October
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
At the final stage, they asked just scenario-based questions where they would present a scenario and you would have to answer how you would react in that situation.

Interview
The whole process was conducted by Workforce. There was a preliminary online text, which was fine. Then the second stage was the assessment centre, which, in my opinion, wasn't conducted properly. This isn't a fault of First E&P. It's the way it was handled by Workforce. The assessment centre, being done over two days, wasn't helpful, and the group discussion session wasn't handled well. The groups were too large, and the time given for the discussion was quite small.
I wouldn't say it was a bad experience, but it wasn't good either. It can be improved on.
