I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (San Jose, CA) in Feb 2012
Interview
It was basically the Market Manager providing details about the position and what it had to offer. Went into depth on the process of owning your own agency and how to achieve that goal. Spoke about the reserve program and it's compensation. I will say this I felt like the picture painted was over exaggerated and once I took the position there was very little training or 1:1

Question 1
Typical questions, If I enjoyed selling, did I want to own my own business, was I motivated to do so
Was basic and tedious asking me questions about my prior work history so make sure that I understood the job role. Overall it was not difficult to formulate an answer to the questions.
The interview was professional and conversational. The agent clearly explained the role, expectations, and growth opportunities. I was asked about my communication skills, work ethic, and goals. Overall, it felt welcoming, informative, and focused on long-term potential rather than pressure
Detailed with multiple calls. Explained in detail the onboarding and training processes including the financial obligations with starting an agency. There was a personality test to help determine fit with the company.
