I have been working at Farmers Insurance Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Excellent support systems for agents. Loads of opportunity made available. Manage expectations.

    Cons

Bonus and incentive structure is consistently being reworked, which makes it hard to keep to a consistent plan of action. Smaller agencies can have a real hard time compensation and sifting through all of the Brand requirments and agency oversight. Applications provided are often difficult to interact with and are under maitenance.

    Advice to Management

Pick something and stick to it. I understand the reworking of incentives and applications but keep some kind of consistent structure which allows the majority of agencies to compete and my ends meat.

I have been working at Farmers Insurance Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

-Great work life balance with flexible schedules, wfh opportunities, and managers and colleagues who are understanding of the existence of life outside the office -AMAZING 401k. Best I've seen anywhere! -On site cafe with subsidized meals / affordable and diverse food and drink options -Fully paid company phone -Company credit card for related expenses -Nicest coworkers EVER! Welcoming and inviting from Day... 1 -No "expectation" of or pressure to work late, after hours, on weekends, etc. -Awesome internal movement opportunities mean you can switch teams, positions, even hub locations with ease and without judgement or ill will. Exploring your career path opportunities is encouraged!

    Cons

-Slightly outdated tech (laptops, programs/systems) that sometimes makes doing your job more challenging (but they do have a great help service desk!) -Sometimes a slow or disorganized onboarding process, depends hire to hire (badges not working, laptops not being set up in time, etc)

I worked at Farmers Insurance Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people were great to work with. I had the pleasure of visiting an off-site office and found everyone to be just lovely there as well. Good team work, hires good people who want to do a good job. Company does a lot of community work, provided incentive for staff to do volunteering. Good access to resources, company wants to invest in employees. Long retention of employees.

    Cons

Horrendous use of technology. They were using such outdated systems for both sales and service, it was beyond frustrating. There was no synchronization between state systems, to sell or service in other states required use of different systems. Antiquated. Buggy. Added to huge stress on staff when they would lose so much of their work because of poor systems, depleted customer experience. Company was profitable,... should have invested more in updated technology. Parent company Zurich in Switzerland, really felt like we could have benefited from more of their direct expertise, especially regarding technology. Sometimes felt very disorganized and inept with regards to technology.
