I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Cherry Hill, NJ) in Jan 2012
Interview
I was interviewed for a sales position by 7 people who have very little sales experience, or none at all. This was called an "Audition" which is basically role play. Unfortunately, nobody in the room was prepared, and several were reading my resume for the first time.
I was actually embarrased at the format which was juvenile at best. I have a solid broad based sales background which is what the interview should have focused on. The company will be eaten alive in NJ with this management team

Question 1
Role play with 6 people who were not prepared for the meeting
Only 2 rounds of interviews. The first one was with HR, the second one was with the broker at the specific location. Nothing tricky actually, all just pretty standard interview questions.
Phone interview, then in-person. Ask questions about your experience, and lots of behavioral questions. They want to see how you fit with the culture of the company, as well as your background in marketing.

Question 1
Basic behavioral questions, then technical marketing questions.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Woodland Hills, CA) in July 2016
Interview
Met with two executives after 2 different phone screenings. First phone screening was with a recruiter and the second was with the hiring manager. Was asked to come in for a formal interview after the second phone call. The interview was pretty standard and involved the hiring manager and another executive.
