I applied online. I interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Kansas City, MO) in Jan 2016
Interview
the interview was made up of personal questions to get to know if you were the right type of person. They target people who have a lot of connections, sales background, or any chance at being able to sell insurance to a lot of people.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
they ask how many people you know, why you want to be an Agent, then determine ifyou have good credit and money to become an agent
Was basic and tedious asking me questions about my prior work history so make sure that I understood the job role. Overall it was not difficult to formulate an answer to the questions.
The interview was professional and conversational. The agent clearly explained the role, expectations, and growth opportunities. I was asked about my communication skills, work ethic, and goals. Overall, it felt welcoming, informative, and focused on long-term potential rather than pressure
Detailed with multiple calls. Explained in detail the onboarding and training processes including the financial obligations with starting an agency. There was a personality test to help determine fit with the company.
