I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Los Angeles, CA) in June 2014
Interview
Initially I was sent a letter inviting me to take a look at the Farmers experience. I responded with a phone call and set up an appointment. The interview itself was Business friendly. The interview was Conducted by the recruiter only. Explained entry level process, sales goals, and commission structure for the next three years. Background check and credit check were required.
Was basic and tedious asking me questions about my prior work history so make sure that I understood the job role. Overall it was not difficult to formulate an answer to the questions.
The interview was professional and conversational. The agent clearly explained the role, expectations, and growth opportunities. I was asked about my communication skills, work ethic, and goals. Overall, it felt welcoming, informative, and focused on long-term potential rather than pressure
Detailed with multiple calls. Explained in detail the onboarding and training processes including the financial obligations with starting an agency. There was a personality test to help determine fit with the company.
