I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Overland Park, KS) in May 2012
Interview
A small panel of 3 claims supervisors using motivational interviewing techniques/questioning, followed by an aptitude test on a computer. The question/answer session was fairly casual, although that depends on each supervisor's demeanor. Two I interviewed with were more interactive and easy to read, and one remained very stoic and difficult to read. They asked questions for about 30 minutes, then had me start a computer test which also took me about 30 minutes to complete. During the computer portion I was not allowed to use my phone or any other device (internet or tools on the computer allowed) to complete my answers. I thought the test portion was quite a bit more challenging than the interview portion. I had to recall math that I hadn't used in quite some time.

Question 1
They asked a lot of the basic motivational interviewing questions: Tell me about a time that you were successful at a job; Tell me about a time when you could have done something differently to have a better outcome; where do you see yourself in 5 years.
Fairly easy overall. 30 minute call to get a feel for me and tell about the position and sus out basic requirements for the job like having a driver's license.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Los Angeles, CA) in June 2019
Interview
Process was quick in my scenario, there was a phone screen and in-person. The company is very selective on who they hire. I must’ve done something wrong, but it’s all trial and error.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Sacramento, CA) in June 2019
Interview
Phone interview with basic questions about myself, which lead to an in-person interview with a panel of three. The interviewers were very personable. I was given a few written questions to answer and then moved to a verbal interview. The questions were about my background, strengths, and weaknesses, conflict resolution abilities, etc.
