I sent in the online application, got a phone interview which was straightforward enough. The interviewer seemed a little flustered, called a few minutes late, asked very basic questions pertaining to my resume/qualifications. I was asked to come in for an in-person interview at their office. The set up there (old office) was very relaxed, and I thought the interview went well as she asked me to come in and actually interview for a different position (which I was in fact not qualified for at all.) All in all, the interview process lasted less than 30 minutes, the interviewer seemed to be in a rush, and I followed up appropriately with an email. I hadn't heard back in a few weeks about coming back for the second, different interview, so I followed up a second time, and received a very short (in length and tone) response from the recruiter, saying both positions had been filled. I assume this is probably standard in the start-up world with a fast-paced environment and high applicant volume , but nevertheless felt a little unprofessional. I hope things have taken a turn as the company has expanded.
