The interview process was fairly straightforward for this role — a phone call with the recruiter (discussing my experience and the role at a high level), a video interview with 2 hiring managers (more behavioral, focused on my experience), and then a panel interview with other Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Engineers, and Directors. For my interview with other Engineering Managers, there was some confusion around who would be interviewing me the day of, resulting in me hopping in and out of empty Zoom rooms. The interviews leaned more on the behavioral side, digging into my management experience. The conversations with the various team members went well, so I was a bit surprised to receive a rejection afterwards with no feedback provided to go off of.
