Fido (Israel) interview questions

Moved rather fast due to an upcoming holiday and an upcoming maternity leave. They were aware that I was being interviewed by other companies and in advanced talks with one of them. - Tuesday: A pleasant 30 minutes interview with the team lead. - Wednesday on short notice: A 1.5 hours ETL related home assignment. A short discussion after completion. Both on Zoom. It went fine and we moved on. I arrived at their offices on a very short notice for a more comprehensive design and architecture interview. - Thursday, on short notice: A 1 hour design interview with the team lead and director of data. presented a previous system I designed and developed. They presented a relevant requirement in their system and we discussed possible solutions, It went fine and I returned home. On Sunday they contacted me and asked to come to the offices for an interview with HR and the CTO. I was quite busy but managed to schedule it to Monday as I was told they will both be at the office and it will be more or less an introduction and pretty much formal. - Monday: HR was not at the office. I set in a room and had a Zoom call on my phone. A generic interview... again I was asked about my status with other companies. - Monday: After the HR interview, an interview with the CTO. We talked about my experience, their product and what they are looking for (again...). I went home. Wednesday: They called to tell me they gave the job to another candidate. It was very dishonest, they knowingly gave the impression that this is a formal final stage to convince me to make an effort and drive for 1.5 hours + 2 hours of interviews without at least hinting that there are other candidates in this final stage. Had i known i would have taken another offer and wouldn't bother.
