I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (San Mateo, CA) in June 2012
Interview
You are put through the wringer. Be prepared because if you are going for the AE position in CA, you will meet with three different people, all of whom have influence over whether you will be hired. The first person is usually an assistant, but the second and third individuals are your boss and GVP, respectively.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A boss would ask questions such as: How much do you know about FI?
How much sales experience do you have? Why are you the right fit for this job? Just be careful about how you answer the questions, none of them is challenging, but you have to answer them correctly because they weed out people easily.
I applied online. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Plano, TX) in May 2026
Interview
Three rounds of interviews. The first one was on zoom. Second one was on site with a tour of the property. Final was on zoom again. Final interview was definitely the most difficult. At the end of the final interview I was told the hiring managers were going to review candidates and that I would hear from them by the end of the week. I never heard from them again. Very strange. Thought after 3 rounds of interviews they would at least reach out to tell me no.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Tampa, FL) in Mar 2026
Interview
It was a 30 minute phone interview with the hiring team basically going through my resume asking questions about it as well as some behavioral questions. It was. average difficulty overall and I made to the next interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Tampa, FL) in Feb 2026
Interview
Easy short phone call. Basic behavioral questions. Lots background details about Fisher that is not really needed in a first interview. The flow of the interview is weird because you go from answering questions about yourself to hearing about the pay structure of the company and then back to more questions about yourself.
