I applied through university. I interviewed at Foundry.ai in Oct 2020
Interview
Had an initial phone technical which went fairly okay, and I got invited to a next round technical. Both my interviewers for these rounds were super nice engineers, and they were kind. Once passing that, I was requested to come on for a Foundry super day, and let me tell you, it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had interviewing at a company. The higher-ups at Foundry have this air about them that just didn't sit right with me. My first conversation was with a data science-esque manager and she was not mean but she wasn't nice either? I just got a cold indifference from her the entire interview. The second interview was with an engineer at the company (technical coding) and it actually really nice and probably the only good interview of the day. The third interview was a small phone call with one of the founders. He took the call on his cell phone, asked me the coin toss question, and hung up after like 8 minutes. Probably should have known then that he didn't care for me. But folks, I saved the worst for last. The last interview was a case interview and honestly, I am insanely traumatized by the experience. The interviewer was so rude -- I think he may also be a founder or a higher-up -- but he made me feel SO dumb the entire time, and he knew I had no background in economics but expected me to know all the terminology about the case that was rooted in commerce concepts. He was frustrated and he was frustrating me to the point where I just sort of didn't care anymore and just wanted the interview to be over.
