I was initially contacted by a national recruiter. The application and interview process took 3 months (late Jan-late March). For my final/virtual (panel) interview, 2 panelists were 25 minutes late and the 3rd didn't show up at all. That left about 12 minutes for my "interview." The panel should have either rescheduled or contacted the national Fuse office for assistance - if an emergency or unexpected issue occurred that morning.
I'm not bitter that I wasn't selected - the host site and overall experience would have been a frustrating mess. But I am disappointed by the lack of professionalism, no acknowledgement or apology re: the tardiness, and when I brought this to the recruiter's attention - they mentioned the oversight was on Fuse's end (not the host site). Apparently, the host site didn't receive the schedule, meeting invites, or confirmation about the (3) scheduled interviews. The panelists were scrambling to join the 1st interview of the day (mine).
Had the tables been turned and I (interviewee) showed up nearly 30 minutes late or not at all....I wonder what the reaction would have been. I felt embarrassed for them.
