I applied online. I interviewed at G & J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers (Columbus, OH) in Feb 2026
Interview
Well at first the job interview went well. I know that my credentials my work ethic, my competence and my work history are good enough to work this job. While interviewing I was asked why I left my last job. I simply said the money was not there despite being told I would have a 90 day review where I could make more money. That was indeed false. I explained that I left the job dude to stress from management and an additional crew member. This was after asking for my 90 day review and asking for more money. I was then pressed by the interviewer or “talent inquisition specialist” with G&J Pepsi with questions involving whether or not I have a hard time getting along with others. I had explained in a very forthcoming manor, exactly what had happened. I wasn’t sure whether to be offended. I truly feel this interviewers goal was to see if he could push me into a negative reaction. While offended I kept my composure through the rest of the interview.
Today I received an email explaining that they found a better candidate, yet when I get online to check the positions available on the website, both shift positions are still open. That seems pretty unprofessional to me I have never been pressed like that in an interview.
Also one more heads up: if you plan on working here long term know that people who have been working there 20 years on the production floor make the same amount as a greenhorn inexperienced new hire. The pay is very handsome however so it seems there’s plenty of money to go around.
