I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GE Vernova in Oct 2025
Interview
Very lightweight but rushed interview process as the team was trying to get someone to start within 3 weeks of my first interview. Interviews were collapsed into just 2 rounds of interviews, consistently of very fluffy questions dealing with my approach to key job functions like management style, mentoring employees, partnerships, risk management etc. They did not ask questions in the "Tell me about a time" / "Give me an example" style, which was surprising for a big company, since this is quite standard and considered best practice.
First call was 30 min with the hiring manager, then a quick debrief with the recruiter, then what was supposed to be a 60 min panel interview with 2-4 interviewers (I suspect this was collapsed down from multiple other individual or panel interviews). The final round was very chaotic, with a VP failing to show for the panel and the panel needing to be rescheduled after 30 min, but the team never getting back to me. I was very unimpressed, especially for a company this established. I did not bother following up after the aborted final round panel as there were multiple red flags during the interview process and salary was below my expectations.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about your experience with / approach to:
Partnerships
Managing employees
Mentoring project managers
Risk management
Bizarrely: what does integrity mean to you?
I thought they wanted a story about workplace ethics but after some clarifying, anything regarding providing feedback, coaching out employees etc would have been acceptable
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at GE Vernova (Melbourne, FL) in June 2024
Interview
Several rounds of interviews, in which every interviewer complained about the company or criticized a former employee. Through the long interview process, people from the interview team were announcing starting jobs elsewhere. Plenty of warning flags with the company culture.

Question 1
Tell me about a situation where you had to communicate bad news to the customer. How did you do it? What was the outcome?
I applied online. I interviewed at GE Vernova (Greenville, SC) in Oct 2016
Interview
standard interview with lots of behavioral questions and standard case study based scenarios, could be tricky at times with off the cuff questions that could be tricky to answer but in general a standard interview process
