Given basic Questionnaire to answer, then some old-fashioned Excel test where you are given things you likely haven't been really exposed to, considering you are applying for an entry-level position
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO (Chevy Chase, MD) in June 2011
Interview
I applied online through the company's website. I was contacted by HR and scheduled for a phone interview. After the HR phone interview, I was contacted by an actuary who wanted to continue the interview process and schedule another phone interview. I was also given two hours to complete an Excel skills test after the interview. Twelve days late I was notified that I was not chosen for the position.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at GEICO (Croton-on-Hudson, NY)
Interview
The process was quick and simple. Performing well on the excel assessment definitely helped move me along in the interview process (the excel assessment is more a pricing assessment). HR was helpful, too. Note: if you say you are proficient in a software or language, they will probably ask you some questions!

Question 1
Can you explain the basics of pricing and reserving and how they differ?
I applied through university. I interviewed at GEICO (Chevy Chase, MD) in Mar 2020
Interview
The interviewer appeared to be condescending the whole time. No feedback and no emotion. Unpleasant experience. But had to admit that I did not fully prepare especially when the interviewer asked me to name a restaurant near the workplace.
