I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO (Baltimore, MD) in July 2018
Interview
After I applied I was given an interview telling me about the position and asking me if I would be willing to perform the duties of the position. After that I was then scheduled for a 2nd interview which ask (STAR) questions, which ask about what did you do within certain situations. I did well on that interview and was told I would be moving on to a role play assessment. After waiting three weeks to hear back from HR about an appointment for the tole play assessment I finally got an appointment time which was two week in advance. Upon doing the role play assessment, I found that it is designed to confuse and stress you with the short time (30 minutes of instruction given), and the amount of paperwork you are expected to fill out. Some of the paper work they give you you don’t even fill out. After the role play was over they said HR would give me a call, but from my understanding if I passed, I would have met with a manager that day. So basically I probably didn’t get the position. Overall, this was a negative interview experience, and I have never interviewed with a company that tries to see how well a person can do the job without given them the proper amount of training. Even if a person were to pass this role play and receive an offer of employment, there is no guarantee they will keep the job because they still have to pass a 10 week training class, which administers test every day. With this experience it seems like Geico is preparing people for high pay sweatshop work. Also the turnover rate is extremely high. Even if I where to be offer the position I don’t know if I would even accept it based off this experience.

Question 1
If a shop owner was trying to claim you were trying to rip him and the customer off, what would you say?
Good experience with this company and interview process. They asked questions pertaining to past job experience and questions regarding the job itself. The recruiter was nice and friendly, as well.

Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (Dallas, TX) in July 2025
Interview
applied and was asked to do a assessment which was pretty straightforward. Then did a 20 min zoon interview with a recruiter. They explained a little about the job, salary, training and that I would be invited for a 2nd interview with the leadership team. A little strange interview also, they didn't really ask any questions about myself, just asked how many times I've shown up late for work in my past job and why I had a gap in my employment. A few days later I got a automated email that the job had been filled already. Seems just because you are told you made it to the 2nd and final round doesn't mean you will. They seem to hire first come first serve.

Interview
I did a zoom interview, which wasn’t the issue. The issue was I felt like there were no questions asked linked directly to the job I was applying for. I’m use to more behavioral based questions and they asked a lot of random filler questions, had me guessing why are they even interviewing me??
