Similar experience to the other person who recorded theirs. At first I was contacted by more than one recruiting firm. Ultimately I was interviewed by a recruiter who was brought to the US from England (of all things) for the purpose of conducting interviews. Apparently she was a friend of the founder. She felt I was highly qualified and told me she wanted to pursue my candidacy with the founder.

Question 1
The recruiting firm said the founder wanted to bring me in for an interview. But then they followed up saying he wanted to know more about me first. Specifically he wanted to know what year I graduated from high school. And all jobs held since high school.
I interviewed with a recruiter, who was a professional friend of the company founder. It was awkward because he wanted to know about my childhood and a thorough background from there up to now, which is many years removed from college. He continued to ask me questions, but never really was interested in the details of my accomplishments or actual work. At the end, he said that I was a great fit and that they would let me know either way. This recruiter nor the founder responded to my three emails or two voice mails.
This was all very weird and awkward. It was semi-offensive how he asked me personal questions (married, kids, etc.) Perhaps the founder is great and is the company. It sounded like a great opportunity.
